Acknowledgments

I would like to thank the Morrison family for their hospitality, especially I. Morrison, without whose experience of the area and keenness to see the history documented, this research would not have happened. M. Bishop helped dig an initial hole at the Insulators Pit in 2001 and scouted for material at other localities. W. Turnbull operated a ditch-digger in 2003, which was funded by a visiting class of American students from Hobart and William Smith, and Union Colleges in the charge of Dr. N. C. Arens and Dr. D. Kendrick. K. Christie organized the abseiling. I also thank the Department of Botany and Center for Marine Studies, University of Queensland, for providing me with the resources to carry out this research. The comments of A.-M. Tosolini and an anonymous reviewer were much appreciated.
