My research includes a principal aim of understanding the evolutionary history of terrestrial arthropods, particularly insects, by integrating exceptional fossils from Konservat-Lagerstätten (Middle-Late Yanliao Biota [~165 Ma], Early Cretacecous Jehol biota [~125 Ma], mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber [~99 Ma], and Eocene Baltic amber [~45 Ma]), morphology, and transcriptomic/genomic data.
